The pool is located in a private and intimate place in the garden overlooking, the Taha Valley, the Cerro Corona hill and the Sierra de Lújar mountain. Here you can enjoy a swim or a sunbathing. It is very healthy for the skin, the eyes and the hair because there is no chlorine and the water is pure and clean. There is a solarium where you can relax on loungers or if you prefer on the garden lawn. Relax and enjoy the water and the view at the rural house of La Oveja Verde.
This purification is performed through sand filters and aquatic plants following the European Directive on Bathing Water Quality Continental (Directiva2006/7/CE of 15 February 2006).
Due to Spain still obligates to use chlorine in all bathing waters, the use of our pool will be the sole responsibility of the users.

La Taha de Pitres

La Taha de Pitres is one of the municipalities that best preserves the traditional architecture of the province of Granada. It is located in the region of La Alpujarra, near the best-known towns such as Soportujar, Capileira, Pampaneira, Bubión or Trevélez.

Its capital is Pitres, which has less than 500 inhabitants, while the remaining 200 are distributed among the tiny and wonderful towns of Mecina, Fondales, Mecinilla, Capilerilla, Ferreirola and Atalbéitar. All can be traveled along old paths that run along this southern slope of the Sierra Nevada between the Trevélez and Poqueira rivers.
Pitres has a 24-hour health center, school, institute, pharmacy, supermarket and all the necessary services for long stays.

Barranco del Poqueira

By the name of the Barranco del Poqueira, the group of three of the most famous towns of the Alpujarra Alta is known: Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira. From La Oveja Verde you can reach any of them by car in just 15 minutes. There are also some good paths to go for a walk of approximately a couple of hours and return by public transport. They are the towns with the greatest offer of bars, shops and restaurants and as a result, the most touristic, already somewhat saturated on weekends and holidays.

Trevélez

Trevélez is considered the highest town on the Iberian Peninsula inhabited all year round (1500m). Famous for the production of ham, it is twenty minutes by car from La Oveja Verde. The Barrio Alto is very well preserved and is one of the natural accesses to go up to Siete Lagunas or Mulhacen. It is possible to walk from Pitres to Trevélez in about 4 or 5 hours and return by public transport.
There are also numerous high and medium mountain routes that we can do from Trevélez, such as the climb to Peñabón, Molino Altero, Horcajo, Chorrillo or the Vacares lagoon.

The Mulhacén,

The Mulhacén, with an altitude of 3479 m s. no. m., is the highest peak of the Iberian Peninsula. It is part of the Sierra Nevada National Park.
Its name comes from Muley Hacén, a Spanish version of the name of Mulay Hasán, the penultimate Nasrid king of Granada in the 15th century, who is said to have been buried on this mountain.

Due to the smoothness of its relief on the southern slope, which facilitates its ascent, the inhabitants of the neighboring Alpujarra villages also know it as El Cerro
